From LeagueGolfer.com

The LeagueGolfer.com website has some basic reporting which can help you, but it doesn't export data in data-friendly formats, like Excel or a CSV (comma-delimited), so there's a little manipulation which is required.

The Roster

Transferring your roster is easy:

  • After you log into your LeagueGolfer.com account, go to the "ROSTER" tab to view your roster.
  • Take your cursor and highlight the selection, starting with the top-left team/player number, down to the last player into the far right column. Be sure to have selected the leftmost column at the top, and the right-most column at the bottom.
  • Copy this data to your clipboard using CTRL-C on a PC, (CMD-C on a Mac)
  • Open Excel and begin a new worksheet. Highlight the first cell.
  • Hold down CTRL-SHIFT (or CMD-SHIFT on a Mac) and press "V". This pastes the data without any formatting.
  • You should now see a "clean" excel file with all your data.

Note things like the phone number may look funny because the column width may be too narrow to display all the digits, but you can adjust that if you want to review the data before importing.

Scores

Scores for handicapping is a little tricker, but the data is there. It takes some manipulation to get it into the correct format, but if you can extract the data with the instructions below, I can help you import the scores from there:

  • While logged into your LeagueGolfer.com account, go to the "HANDICAPS" tab.
  • This tab shows all scores used for your handicapping, for each player
  • Click the PRINT button located above the scores. This puts the data into a little better format for importing
  • Hold CTRL-A (CMD-A for mac) to select ALL from the page
  • Open Excel and begin a new worksheet. Highlight the first cell.
  • Hold down CTRL-SHIFT (or CMD-SHIFT on a Mac) and press "V". This pastes the data without any formatting.

This still isn't in the required format, as each score required a name be associated with it, and this report has the name above it. I'm not going to go through the steps/formulas in Excel to solve this, so feel free to send me the file for import.
