Starting a New Season

Golf League Tracker has an automated renewal process which is based on the account type that you have and the date. Click on the account type you have for more details:

League Manager - New Season Setup

Copying Your League

Once 30 days has elapsed after your last league date, when you log into your league, you'll be prompted to copy your league to the new season.

Paying For Your League

After you copy your league, log in and you'll be in the free 4-round trial. You can pay for your league by clicking the blue "Purchase" button at the top of the screen.

League Format and Scoring

If your league format and scoring is the same, you don't need to touch anything there and you can jump to Setting Up the Basics below. If you're changing formats (individual to 2-player teams, or vice versa), now is the time to do that. You may need to contact support to make that change. If you're simply changing your point values, you can do that in your League Settings.

Setting Up the Basics

When you copy your league, all your players, courses, tee times, and settings are copied over automatically. Your next steps are to simply go through your league setup steps which apply to the new season, making changes where necessary:

  1. Number of Players - If the number of players in your league is changing, then alter setting #69 in your league settings "Number of Players"
  2. Add/Remove Players - Add new players to the player list (League Setup - Step 2) and remove old player by editing them, and changing them to either a sub or inactive. "Inactive" players can only be seen by the league administrator. It's equivalent to deleting them
  3. Tee Times - If your tee times have changed or you added players, set your tee times (League Setup - Step 4)
  4. League Dates - Set your league start date (League Setup - Step 5)
  5. Assign Player/Team Numbers - If your players have changed, or you're a team league and you're changing teammates, you must assign them player or team numbers (League Setup - Step 6)
  6. Create Your Schedule - Generate your schedule (League Setup - Step 7) using the auto schedule generator, or manually enter your schedule.

Handicap Manager - New Season Setup

The Handicap manager season runs from Jan 1st through December 31st. There is a 10 day grace period at the start of the year at which time you'll still be able to enter scores. This gives you some time before you have to purchase the new season. After January 10th, you'll have to purchase the season to continue using the service.

Copying Your League

Log into your league as administrator after January 1st and you'll be prompted to copy your season to the new year.

Paying For Your League

After you copy your league, log in and you can use the Handicap Manager up through January 10th without purchase. You can pay for your league by clicking the blue "Purchase" button at the top of the screen.

New Season Configuration

There's nothing that you have to configure for the new season if all of your settings are the same as the previous year.
