Moving Some Groups to the Opposite Side for a Round

Sometimes a league is required to split up their round between the front and back, when they normally all play the same side for a given week. Often this is done later in the year when daylight becomes an issue for the league, or some players are playing a make up match, and the course puts them off on the opposite side of what they were originally scheduled to play. 

Since Golf League Tracker schedules a single round on one side, there are a couple of steps required to move these matches.

Step 1 - Add a Round to your Schedule

Go to League Setup -> Step 7 Scheduling -> Add, Delete, or Move Rounds and/or Segments. In the "Action" dropdown for the round in question, click "Insert Round After". This will insert a blank round after your scheduled round. Click "Save" at the bottom of the screen

Step 2 - Add the Date to Keep the Rounds in Sync

After you add the round, the new round will take on next week's date, and push everything out a week, and we don't want that. We want the new round to have the same date as the originally scheduled round

Go to League Setup -> Step 5 League Dates. In the "Dates to Include" list, add the date of the originally scheduled round. This will cause the system to have two rounds on the same date, and should put your rounds -> dates back in sync

Step 3 - Edit the Schedule for Both Rounds

Now you can set the schedule, modifying the original round (removing the players/teams from that round) and adding them to the new round.

Go to League Setup -> Step 7 Scheduling -> Edit Schedule for a Single Round. Choose the original round, and click on the player/team who you are moving and choose the "--empty--" option at the top of the drop down list. Do this for each player/team matchup you're moving. Click "Save" at the bottom of the screen.

Then choose the new round that you added. You will have to set the course/side for that round, as well as Round Type, then you can set your matchups. Again, click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

Step 4 - Fix Round Types

Depending on your previous configuration, you may need to adjust your Round Types for your future rounds.

Go to League Setup -> Step 7 Scheduling -> Change Course, Side, or Round Type For All Rounds, and fix the round types for the future dates if necessary. 

Step 5 - Enter Scores

You can now enter scores as you normally would.

Considerations

If you play league contests such as skins or closest to the pin, the players who moved sides would most likely not be eligible to participate. The skins pot is completely separate when playing the opposite side, so there would be no way to combine the two.
