Live Scoring for League Manager customers allows your players to enter their own scores while Live Scoring is enabled for a given round. Here's a quick overview of how it works.
The league administrator must enable Live Scoring to allow players to enter scores. This insures that scores are only entered and changed during the Live Scoring period. Go to Administration -> Weekly Admin -> Enable/Disable Player Live Score Entry. Choose the date to enable. Only your next scoring date is available. You cannot skip weeks when entering scores or enabling Live Scoring.
When a player logs in with Live Scoring enabled, they will be presented with the live scoring screen that shows what round is enabled. If you play split tee times (going off front/back at the same time) both sides will be displayed, otherwise the single round will be displayed that they will choose to begin. If they don't want to keep score at this time, they can view the leaderboard or go to the league home page.
The scorekeeper than can select individual players to keep score for, or a scheduled group. After adding the players he can drag the order of the players up/down in the order he wants and tap "Begin Scoring". Score then commences.
Once the league administrator has deemed scoring closed, he will go back to Administration -> Weekly Admin -> Enable/Disable Player Live Score Entry and disable live scoring
The scores entered then must be confirmed by the league administrator. This is done in the standard score entry screen that you use when not using the live scoring. Navigate to Administration -> Weekly Admin -> Enter Scores and Points. Choose the round in question, and you will see which groups "Needs Confirmation". Click the "Action" dropdown and choose "Confirm Scores". You can then view and edit the scores, mark any players as absent and make any other changes necessary.
It's highly suggested that you still have players keep a paper scorecards as their official score. You will need something to compare the scores your players entered with an official score.
