The Golf League Tracker is an online
system which will allow you to keep track of every aspect
of your golf league. After an initial setup such as
entering your player names, GLT will create your schedule,
and you'll just have to enter the players score for each
hole when the round is complete. GLT will then calculate
match points, handicap, skins, and standings automatically!
Your players can then log in and check the standings, look
up their stats, and see if they won any money in your skins
game!
You can, but it's very labor intensive.
The first time saver is scheduling. Just with a click
of a mouse, GLT will create an optimum schedule for your
league. Each player will play everyone at least once
as long as there is enough weeks in your league. The
next time saver is figuring out the results. In GLT,
all you have to do is enter each player's score for each
hole. GLT will automatically determine the handicap
holes and apply the points accordingly. You can even
print out scorecard for GLT for your players before the
round!
Golf League Tracker
is only $99 for the entire year, no matter how many players
you have.
Yes! The Golf League Tracker can
be set up for individual or team match play.
Scoring in GLT is match play.
You can set the number of points per hole each player can
win. You can also award points for the match.
We currently do not support stroke play.
Yes. It can also handle a league
which plays on different courses or alternating the front
and back side of one course week to week.
Handicap calculations can be endless
for golf leagues, therefore a basic formula is instituted,
but you can customize some parameters of the formula.
In general, the formula is
Handicap = (AVERAGE SCORE - PAR) * Handicap
Ratio %
You determine a handicap ratio (most
leagues use 80-90%, to award a bonus for better
players). You can tell GLT how many rounds to
calculate for the average score, whether or not to throw
out high or low rounds, or institute a limit a player can
count per hole, based on their handicap (this prevents
sandbagging, or artificially inflating ones handicap).
Yes! In the leagues I've played
in, not everyone necessarily wants to play in skins, therefore
GLT will allow you to put only the players who want to play.
With a click of a button GLT will figure out who won and
how much.
You can also configure the skins so
that different players will pay different amounts into the
pot. We've found this works better than using handicaps
for skins. So the better players might put in $3 a
week, the middle players $2, and the hackers $1 a week!
If your league record the substitutes'
scores, Golf League Tracker will treat the sub just like
any other player. When entering the scores, you just
tell Golf League Tracker that a regular player was absent,
and you choose a substitute for him.
If you don't count subs scores, you
tell Golf League Tracker that the player was absent, and
don't choose a substitute for him.
For Individual Play
The person who doesn't have an opponent will play against
the course. You can define how many strokes (if any)
over their average they will get. For example, a 7
handicapper plays against the course. You can say
that he will receive 2 strokes over his handicap.
So the player will play against par, and will get 9 strokes,
or 1 stroke per hole. The player who doesn't show
up will receive the points that "the course" received.
If neither player showed up, nobody gets any points.
For Team Play
If only 1 team member shows up, he will play again both
of the other players on the opposing team. If neither
player shows up, the players who showed will use the same
rules as defined above for individual play. If neither
team showed up, neither of them will receive any points.
NO! That's the beauty of Golf
League Tracker. Everything is web based. All
you need is a connection to the internet and a web browser.
Golf League Tracker reports a number
of statistics, from league standings, points, scoring averages,
handicaps, hole by hole comparison, skins winnings... the
best way to understand it is to experience it.
